August marked a milestone for the Pennsylvania State Advisory Council (SAC) for 15 years of partnership with Penn State University’s College of Agricultural Sciences’ Ag Progress Days (APD). Assisted by members of QDMA’s Happy Valley Branch and recent graduates of Pennsylvania Wildlife Leadership Academy’s Pennsylvania Bucktails and Pennsylvania Bruins field schools, the Council hosted a QDMA educational booth and led six tours of their 55 acre wildlife habitat education and demonstration area and two tours of Penn State University’s deer research facility. Council and Branch members also serve on APD’s Conservation Committee to assist with planning the event. The three-day event draws over 40,000 people annually.
The Council wishes to thank all the QDMA members, APD and PSU staff, and various vendors who contributed seed, labor, equipment, and their time to make the event a success.
